How do we spend the money raised?

The Rotary Club of Flagler Beach uses money raised from our events to help our local community and others throughout the world. Here's a list of some of our projects:

  • Polio Eradication
Rotary has been working for over 30 years to eradicate Polio. When Rotary started this effort, more than 500,000 children were infected each year. That number has been reduced to 223 in 2012.
  • Project Share, Food Co-op
We provide food directly to 60 families each month. We also provide fresh produce to the Grace Community Food Pantry on a weekly basis and provide food assistance to the Samaritan Ministries.
  • Project Share,Christmas Gifts
Our local community comes together to help us provide Christmas gifts, includeing 300 bicycles, to 1300 local children.
  • Wells in Africa
With the assistance of grants from Rotary, District 6970, we were able to place 2 wells in remote African villages. These well provide clean water to several hundred villagers.
  • Education:
The Rotary Club of Flagler Beach provides scholarships to: Graduating high school seniors, Adult Education students earning their GEDs, Take Stock in Children and Rotary Youth Leadership Award recipients.
  • Literacy
Books are directly provided to Bunnell Elementary school. We also support the Flagler County Dolly Parton Imagination Library and a local Dictionary Project.
